V Adults Sports Challenge
Over
the years we have had a tradition of sporting challenges. The BIG one is
our annual cricket match against Berry Uniting Church, a competition that has been continuing for
almost 50 years. In recent times Nowra hasn’t won any matches, but we
always have a lot of fun.
In
addition to the Berry match we have annual matches between adults and our
youth group - so far the youth have won the soccer and the adults the
cricket - it’s always a tightly contested match....keep an eye out
for the next big event!
We also instigated a challenge against the Gerringong Uniting Church in soccer. The game ended in a 1-1 draw and a
penalty shoot out. Nowra won on penalties, but Gerringong
has vowed to get us next time.
